Terms of Service
Welcome to Soma + Soul Practice. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the independent and collaborative therapeutic services provided by Tammy Stander and Daniel Novikov. By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Professional Practitioners and Scope of Service
Soma + Soul Practice operates as a collaborative therapeutic space. Our practitioners are independent entities practicing under distinct professional frameworks and regulatory bodies:
- Daniel Novikov: Registered Provisional Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia / Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Daniel provides psychological services while completing advanced postgraduate qualifications (Master of Psychology (Clinical)).
- Tammy Stander: Registered Clinical Counsellor and Supervisor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), an EMDRAA member, and a registered EMDR therapist.
Our practice offers person-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Therapy is collaborative, and treatment plans are tailored to your unique therapeutic goals.
2. Professional Status and Clinical Supervision
In accordance with professional codes of conduct and registration requirements:
- Provisional Oversight: As a Provisional Psychologist, Daniel Novikov practices under the direct professional guidance and oversight of an AHPRA Board-approved clinical supervisor, Marsha Lewellin. De-identified case reviews occur regularly to ensure clinical excellence.
- Clinical Leadership: Tammy Stander provides on-site clinical leadership and practitioner supervision within her scope as a PACFA-registered supervisor.
- Session Observation: For training and professional developmental purposes, session observations or recordings may occasionally be requested. This is entirely optional and will never occur without your explicit, written, informed consent prior to the session.
3. Financial Terms, Fees, and Payments
By booking a session, you agree to the following financial terms:
- Fee Structure: Daniel Novikov’s schedule of fees is $125 per 55-minute session. Tammy Stander’s schedule of fees is $220 per 55-minute session (inclusive of GST).
- Payment Method: Payment is required on the day of service, strictly via bank transfer or our designated integrated practice management payment gateway at the conclusion of your session.
- Rebates and Subsidies: Please note that neither practitioner is eligible for Medicare rebates, and our services do not operate under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Daniel’s services are not eligible for private health insurance rebates. Clients seeing Tammy are encouraged to verify directly with their private health fund to confirm if clinical counselling is covered under their specific policy tier.
- Third-Party Funding: Tammy Stander offers approved, no-cost therapeutic options for eligible clients under the NSW Victims Services framework. Eligibility and approval must be confirmed prior to commencing these sessions.
4. Cancellation and Attendance Policy
We deeply value the therapeutic space and dedicate an entire clinical hour specifically to you. To maintain an equitable practice, we require mutual respect for scheduled times:
- Notice Period: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is strictly required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Late Cancellation Fees: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments (no-shows), will incur the full session fee.
- Discretionary Circumstances: We understand that genuine emergencies occur. Exceptions to this policy remain at the strict discretion of your individual practitioner.
5. Privacy, Confidentiality, and Clinical Records
Your engagement with Soma + Soul Practice is protected by standard clinical confidentiality.
- Data Management: All personal, health, and clinical information collected during your treatment is securely maintained in compliance with our Privacy Policy and the NSW Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.
- Limits of Confidentiality: Information will remain strictly confidential unless a practitioner is legally compelled to disclose it (e.g., via a court subpoena), where there is a statutory requirement to report (e.g., child protection concerns), or if there is a reasonable belief that safety is compromised and there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others.
